Accessibility statement
We audit other people's accessibility, so ours has to hold. This page says what we hold ourselves to, where we stand, and how to tell us when we fall short. Last updated: 23 July 2026.
The standard
able.cat aims for WCAG 2.2 AA across every public page, the same standard we test clients against (EN 301 549 mapping). The site is built with semantic HTML, keyboard-first navigation, visible focus, dark and light schemes, reduced-motion support, and no third-party scripts of any kind.
Current status
Every public page on this site is scanned with our own engine (axe-core, WCAG 2.2 A/AA ruleset) in both colour schemes before it ships. Current result: zero automated violations. Automated checks find only part of the picture (roughly a third of real barriers, as we say everywhere), so we also review keyboard flows and screen-reader output manually as pages change. Known limits right now: our free scanner's live results are announced via a polite live region; if you hit anything awkward with assistive tech, we want to know.
